Marion Greenstone. Pop Art in New York 1960-1970
On display about 14 works from the painter's Pop period, from 1962 to 1969.
At the margins of the official history of art until a few decades ago, some excellent women artists of the XX century have been rediscovered and appreciated for their value and experience. One of these artists is Marion Greenstone (New York 1925-2005) who, despite the discreet and intimate nature, enjoys the recognition of the leading art institutions in New York and Canada, and now of the Museo Carlo Bilotti in Rome. The show presents only the central part of her production: the Pop art years, given the vastness of the production of Marion, which goes from abstract expressionism of her youth to the hyperrealism of the last years.
